Eisteddfod dates will be released at the start of every year, if you are involved in eisteddfod routines you must be available for all competition dates.
Committing to our eisteddfod routines is a whole year commitment, you cannot pick and choose to enter and exit throughout the terms.
Students may not choose eisteddfods over troupe classes in Term 1 and 2, please phone Admin in advance and they will be more then accommodating depending on the time of year.
Any student that moves to the studio throughout the year will be positioned and added to our routines and guided to catching up on choreography.
If you are unwell and unable to attend class, TJS Dance Academy will film and help you get up to date before returning to your next class.
If you do not attend 80% of your classes per term, you will be called in for a meeting to see how we can accommodate and resolve any issues, if you are still absent post meeting it may result in exclusion of eisteddfod routines and concert.
If you are unable to attend your private lesson, please organise a swap or email admin@tjsdanceacademy.com and they will be able to assist you.
If you are injured, you are still required to come and observe.

PICK-UP | DROP OFF SYSTEM
For students 10 years and below its important to drop-off/collect your child from the reception waiting area. Students above 10 years can go to the street by themselves, but we ask that you message them when you arrive, or if you are not there to collect them that they come back inside where they can be supervised. Ultimately, for the safety of students we don’t want young children to be waiting outside to be collected.
For the safety of our students, staff and visitors, we kindly ask those attending TJS Dance Academy to be mindful of the nature of our studio location and the central location we operate at, which involves a sizeable number of children. Please allow extra care when dropping off and collecting students.

TJS COSTUME POLICY
TROUPES
Upon registration, all troupe students will be invoiced a $25 non-refundable costume deposit per troupe.
This deposit is applied toward the total price of the troupe costume.
All students involved in performance troupes will be required to purchase costume.
The amount of each costume is determined on price, postage and taxes, however we will endeavour to keep costs below $100 each where possible. Ballet troupe costumes may be more depending on style of costume required.
Any extra embellishments or headpieces will be invoiced as required.
Costumes that are ordered or custom made are kept by the student.
Every care and consideration is taken when sizing and fitting costumes and we endeavour to deliver quality and appropriate costumes.
If a student fails to pay the costume fee, unfortunately that student will not be issued with a costume.
If any part of a costume is damaged or lost the student or parent/guardian is responsible for the replacement cost of the missing pieces and/or damages repaired.
If a dancer drops out of a troupe after the costume has been ordered, the costume becomes the property of the owner and they may collect their costume from studio.
Costumes may be re-used and recalled later to be used again. In these instances, a reasonable refund will be issued for the costume.
